19. Put the pan back in the wall and attach the
pan to the studs using the 1-1/2" lag screws.
Place one in the bottom hole on both sides.
Use a 7/16" socket and socket wrench to
insert and tighten the lag screws. Do
not completely tighten them until you have
both in place. CAUTION: DO NOT OVER
TIGHTEN. Replace the stud if it is split,
splintered or shows any sign of weakness.
Step 3 – Install the Ladder
20. Before proceeding, make certain your ladder
is in the correct position. Note the
orientation of the rungs – stand offs to
the back of the pan and rungs upside down.
Tighten the rung stack by placing the Velcro
strap on the floor with the white PULL strap
label facing down. Open and pull the strap
to secure the rungs in place.
21. With the ladder assembled in the proper
orientation lay the ladder stack flat on the
floor with the stand offs facing up and stretch
out the right webbing leader (the webbing
between the rung and the tri-d-ring) and
make sure the webbing is straight with no
kinks. Ensure that the sewn "loop" sides of
both the 2" and the 1" webbing are
toward the inside of the pan which
allows the tri-d-ring to fit snugly
against the pan when it is installed.
