Optionally, you may also need:
One automobile relay (if the automatic switch-over for horn control is installed)
Faston terminals for automobile relay
Two blue Electro Tap (AMP) terminals (if connecting to a radiotelephone)
For motorbike installations, we recommend using a control button (Vama button, ref:

INSTALLATION OF THE CONTROL HEAD AND THE CONNECTION BOX
A) INSTALLING THE CONTROL HEAD
Choose a suitable housing for the control head. This must be within easy reach of the driver and
passenger. Two examples are shown in Figures 1 and 2, (Page.46) Figure 1 shows the control head fitted
on the top righthand side of the central console, while in Figure 2, the control head has been installed on
the vehicle dashboard.
Figure 3 , (Page.46) , shows a possible site for the control head on a motorbike.
If the equipment is to be installed on a motorbike, we recommend using the manual button (see
Fig.4, Page.47). In this case, fitting a separate button for the horn would be recommended (see in
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: "SIREN CONTROL BY HORN OR BUTTON (motorbikes)").
In modern vehicles, it is not easy to fit accessories which have not been already planned in the
original dashboard design. The hinged base, (see Fig.5, Page.47 ) ,has been designed to adapt and fit
smoothly on to the dashboard or other surface of any vehicle. The base is formed by two linked swivelling
knuckle joints. Each knuckle joint can be adjusted to an angle of around 80º. The angle between the two
knuckle joints can be up to 360º. This scope of adjustment provides ideal positioning possibilities. The
two knuckle joints and the angle of rotation can be fixed in position using a single screw.
For further convenience, the hinged base allen screw can be loosened to move the rectangular plate
and place it in a more suitable position, to avoid interfering with operation.
When the position of the control head has been chosen, place the hinged base on the selected area
and adjust to find the best angle. Although the control head base has not yet been screwed down on to
the hinged base plate, the base can be placed against the plate to check the position (see Fig.6, Page.47).
Once the correct position has been found, fix in place by tightening the allen screw of the hinged base
using a 3 mm allen key ,(see Fig.7, Page 47) , and mark the 3 drill holes using the circular base as a
template (see Fig.8, Page 47).
Using a 3 mm drill bit, drill the holes and fix the hinged base to the vehicle using the 3 self-tapping
screws of 4.2 x 16.
Finally, screw the hinged base to the control head base using the 4 M4x12 countersunk head
screws, M4 pressure washers and M4 nuts.
When the control head base is fixed in position, the control head can be mounted on the base.
