6) Changing the battery
The SELD selector is battery powered (using a 6F22 or similar type) and the battery has
to be changed when it is insufficiently charged.
The SELD selector signals when the battery is insufficiently charged: after having pressed
the
key you will hear a modulated acoustic note that is longer than the usual one.
All functions will still be active although the range will most certainly be reduced. We
recommend changing the battery as soon as possible.
When the battery is discharged to such an extent that correct functioning is not possible,
an acoustic error note will sound and SELD will go immediately to the "Waiting" state.
To change the battery simply open the battery holder (Fig. 3), take the old battery out,
disconnect the plug and put the new battery in. Reconnect and close the battery holder.
