WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electric shock DO NOT expose to
rain. Store indoors.
 Guard against electrical shock by preventing body
contact with grounded surfaces. For example, pipes,
radiators, ranges, refrigerator, enclosures.
 Polarized plugs. To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this tool has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician
to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any
way.
 Disconnect tools. Unplug the vacuum cleaner when not
in use, before servicing, or when changing attachments.
 Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is off when
plugging in any tool.
 Never leave tool running unattended. Turn the power
off.
 Do not abuse cord. Never yank cord to disconnect from
receptacle. Keep cord away from heat, oil, and sharp
edges.
 Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on and off.
Have defective switches replaced by an authorized
service center.
 Inspect tool cords periodically. If damaged, have
repaired by a qualified service technician at an authorized
service facility. The conductor with insulation having
an outer surface that is green with or without yellow
stripes is the equipment-grounding conductor. If repair
or replacement of the electric cord or plug is necessary,
do not connect the equipment-grounding conductor to a
live terminal. Repair or replace a damaged or worn cord
immediately. Stay constantly aware of cord location and
keep it well away from the rotating brushes.
 Inspect extension cords periodically and replace if
damaged.

Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause
product damage.

fingers, and all parts of the body and clothing, away
from openings and moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewelry, or long hair can be caught in internal moving parts.

described in this manual. Use only the attachments
recommended in this manual.

damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return

 Do not handle plug or power cord with wet hands.
 This tool has a precision-built electric motor. It should
be connected to a power supply that is 120 V, AC only
(normal household current), 60 Hz. Do not operate this
tool on direct current (DC). A substantial voltage drop will
cause a loss of power and the motor will overheat. If the
tool does not operate when plugged into an outlet, double
check the power supply.
 Do not put any objects in ventilation openings. Do not
use with any opening blocked. Keep openings free of dust,
lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.

liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they
may be present.

on stairs. To avoid personal injury or damage, and to
prevent the vacuum from falling, always place vacuum at
bottom of stairs on floor. Do not place vacuum on stairs
or furniture.
 Do not use to pick up hard objects such as nails,
screws, coins, etc. Damage or injury could result.
 Do not incinerate this appliance even if it is severely
damaged.
 Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the
operation is dusty. Following this rule will reduce the risk
of serious personal injury.
