La garanzia decade nel caso in cui il cliente apporti modifiche di
qualsiasi natura alla macchina.

GENERAL WARNINGS
Read the manual carefully before installing, using and maintaining
FAST BLADE©. To get the best performance from FAST BLADE© and
protect operator safety, follow the instructions in this manual.
It is forbidden to make any kind of changes to FAST BLADE©.
General warnings:
• Place FAST BLADE© in a well-ventilated location.
• Make sure there is lighting in the working area that guarantees
perfect visibility.
• Make sure there are no explosives, liquids or flammable or
harmful gases in the vicinity.
• Do not tamper and/or change FAST BLADE© in any way.
• Position FAST BLADE© in an appropriate location, bearing in
mind that it discharges dust from metal or other processing
residues. It should not be positioned close to food or material
subject to corrosion. If it is, an extraction system must be used.
FAST BLADE© must be positioned so that hygiene is assured in
the working area.
• Make sure operators have adequate personal protective
equipment.
Standard operators: personnel lacking specific skills, capable of
performing simple tasks only. They can operate the machine using
the commands on the pushbutton panel and load and unload
materials during production, with all the guards installed and active.
Specialist operators: personnel able to perform the tasks described
above who can also operate the machine while the guards are
disabled to carry out simple adjustment, setting or start-up
operations, as well as resume production following a forced stop.

USER OBLIGATIONS
Users may not perform any intervention on FAST BLADE© while it is
on. Before intervening, turn the machine off, unplug it and wait for
the belts to come to a standstill.
FAST BLADE© must not be used without its protective covers.
OTHER OBLIGATIONS
1. Be fully aware of exactly what FAST BLADE© is able to do;
2. Before using FAST BLADE©, make sure that it can be used safely
and that it is in good working order;
3. Warn the heads of department if there are any problems;
4. Do not operate the machine if you have a beard or moustache.
Long hair must be tied back. Do not wear loose and/or dangling
clothes such as ties or scarves or wide-sleeved, torn or
unbuttoned clothing. Do not wear necklaces, bracelets or any
type of jewellery or ornamental objects that could get caught in
moving parts;

5. Be aware that, when the machine is on, all the disks and their
sharpening belts are moving;
6. You should always sharpen blades of the appropriate dimensions,
shapes and material, ensuring that FAST BLADE© and its belts
are always in perfect working order. Otherwise, metal parts may
be projected from the machine;
7. Do not remove or modify any of the mechanical or electrical
safety devices installed;
8. Do not put your fingers or other body parts in the area where the
moving belts are located;
9. Keep foreign objects out of the FAST BLADE© machine and the
surrounding area;
10. Take great care during sharpening, avoiding carelessness and
rushed processing, and make sure you are in good physical and
mental condition;
11. Do not leave FAST BLADE© on after you have finished sharpening;
12. Take care to ensure the area where FAST BLADE© is located is not
slippery;
13. Do not keep rags soaked in liquid or flammable/harmful material
near FAST BLADE©.
14. Clean the tool blades before sharpening. Any dirt on the tool
blades could deposit material on the belts, jeopardising efficiency;
15. Once the blades have been sharpened, clean them with a clean
cloth, being careful of the sharp edge;
16. Do not clean FAST BLADE© using wet/damp cloths. Use a dry
cloth and/or a vacuum cleaner and/or a brush;
17. Keep the machine clean;
18. An extraction system (the responsibility of the user) must be used
during sharpening.
MAINTENANCE WARNINGS
All maintenance and cleaning of FAST BLADE© must be done with
the machine off and unplugged from the 220 V AC power supply.
Processing and maintenance must be carried out by suitable,
qualified personnel, who must have access to and follow a set of
instructions.
Unauthorised personnel are forbidden to use or perform
interventions on FAST BLADE©.
DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE OF THE MACHINE
FAST BLADE© is a professional machine for sharpening kitchen
knives. It has three abrasive belts (two on one side and one on the
other) which rotate in opposite directions and a central numbered
ring nut that allows 5 different angles for customised sharpening:
position no. 1
30 degrees
position no. 2
38 degrees
position no. 3
45 degrees
position no. 4
50 degrees
position no. 5
55 degrees.
FAST BLADE© is designed and manufactured exclusively for
sharpening knives for use with food and similar products made
from metal and ceramics. No other type of cutting utensil can be
sharpened.
It can sharpen flat blades with a straight or convex profile.
MARKING
The machine is CE marked with indelible label on the back of the
machine, like the one shown in the figure:
The declaration of conformity may be issued by the manufacturer
on request.
