Installation
Step 1
Determine the direction you want your gate to swing. This gate is a hinged mounted gate (it
swings like a door on hinges). See Figure 1.
WARNING: Never mount the gate so it swings over a stairway.
Left side opening
Do not mount gate hinges into sheetrock or plaster.
Hardware is included for use in solid materials, such as wood or metal.
Step 2
Place the wall hinge on the side of the opening that will not
swing out, as close to the floor as possible. See Figure 2.
Step 3
Mark the top hole and pre-drill a 1/8" pilot hole and screw the top
of the wall hinge in place. Proceed down the hinge and install a
screw into each screw hole with the screws provided. See Figure 3.

Step 4
Attach the gate to the wall hinge by
aligning the horse-shoe shaped
hoops on one side of the gate, over
the pins on the wall hinge and set the
gate in place. See Figure 4
Step 5
Slide the panels to the length
required to block the opening.
Align the locking rail to the end of
the panel on the gate frame on the
other side of the opening.
Mount the locking rail by following
the same steps as mounting the wall
hinge in step 3. See Figure 5.
Note: The wall hinge and locking rail
will be mounted at an o set angle.
