5 Operation
The control panel allows the equipment functions selection and informs about the
current operating status.
Once plugged to the mains, press the main switch and the equipment will start (ON).
Let it heat up for 20 minutes before taking any reading.
The user can make any operation by pressing the keys.
Any results and the control information will be shown in the display.

5.2 Starting up
1. The instrument will position filter first, then initialize lamp position and AD con-
verter. Then D2 / W lamps warm up, Wavelength reset and get dark current. After
that will initialize printer, check battery and set up system. And then, the screen will
display the main menu.
The self-testing process is as fig 3.
2. If the data in memory has been lost, the instrument will directly calibrate system
without any choice for you.
Note: DO NOT OPEN SAMPLE COMPARTMENT LID DURING SELF-TESTING.
