Automatic start (for filter coffee only)
To vary the brew cycle start, for example, if it is "08:10" and
you want the brew cycle to start at "13:10", carry out steps
1 to 4 in the previous section, then proceed as follows to
program automatic start:
Press the "prog" button once; the word "CLOCK" is

Note: The maximum programmable delay is 24 hours.

You can now set a different start time, "13:10", in the same way using the "h" and

Press the button once for the filter coffee function. The timer light comes on.

The screen displays the current time and you can press the "prog" button twice to
display a different start time.
Note 1: Press the "prog" button to select the time on the "CLOCK" or "TIMER"
function. These words are displayed on the screen and remain displayed for
5 seconds if you do not make another selection.
Note 2: You can cancel the different start time by pressing the button twice for
the filter coffee function. To modify the automatic start time, repeat steps 1 to 4
above only.
At "13:10", the timer light switches off automatically. The function light comes
on and the appliance starts to brew. After brewing, you can return the coffee pot
to the hot plate. If the coffee maker is switched on, the coffee can be kept hot.
After 30 minutes of disuse, the coffee maker switches off automatically.

PRE-HEATING

To prepare a flavoursome cup of espresso, we recommend that you pre-heat the
appliance before preparing the coffee, including the filter holder, the filter and the
cup, to prevent the taste of the coffee from being impacted by the coldness of the

PREPARING AN ESPRESSO

Open the water tank lid, pour the water into the tank in line with the steps outlined
above, then close the water tank lid.
Insert the steel filter into the metal filter holder (without the ground coffee). Then
insert the filter holder into the appliance in the position, unlock the push rod
and fasten the filter holder firmly onto the coffee maker by turning it anti-clockwise
until it is in the position (Image 1).
Place an espresso cup (your cup) onto the removable grille. Check that the steam
knob is in the "OFF" position.
Plug in the appliance; "12:00" is displayed on the screen.
Press the button for the espresso function. The red light comes on and the
green light flashes. This is the default programme. When the water flows out,
press the button and switch off the pump immediately. The aim of this step is to
pump the water from the tank into the unit.
When the green light stops flashing and remains on, press the
hot water flows out. When the green light flashes, switch off the pump. Pre-heating
is finished.
Coffee Ready light: The green light flashes to indicate that
pre-heating is in progress. It lights up to indicate that you
can make the coffee.

Pump button: Controls the pump.
Coffee/Steam button: Selects either preparation of coffee or steam.
Remove the filter holder by turning it clockwise. Put the coffee into the steel filter
using the measuring spoon (one spoon of ground coffee will make an excellent cup
of coffee), then press on the ground coffee with the stamper.
