3. Unbolt and remove top spacer
pad from RH runner (FIG. 3-1).
Next, unbolt and remove bottom
spacer pad (not shown). Keep
bolts, lock washers, and spacer
pads to reinstall.
4. Unbolt the slide pads from upper tandem
(FIG. 3-2). Next, pry the upper runner
away from column to remove the old slide
pads (FIG. 3-2A). Bolt the new slide pads
to upper tandem (FIG. 3-2B). Torque cap
screws to 4 to 6 lb-ft. Repeat this step for
lower tandem (not shown).
5. Repeat step 3 to remove spacer pads
from the LH runner, and step 4 to remove
and replace slide pads on the LH runner.
