Bottom panel removal – use 10 mm socket and screwdriver to remove (3) bolts and (6) plastic rivets, see Figure 2.

Fascia removal – open the trunk and remove cover panel between tail light and rubber seal. Use 8 mm socket to remove (1) bolt near tail light and (3) bolts near wheel well each side, see Figure 3.
Gently remove the fascia and unplug wiring. Set bumper fascia aside.

Bumper beam removal – unplug wiring at the bottom of bumper beam each side. Use 8 and 13 mm socket to remove flange nut and screw attaching to exhaust hanger and splash guard, see Figure 4. Use
19 mm socket to remove (4) flange nuts attaching to bumper end panel and then remove bumper beam, see Figure 5.

Hitch installation – raise the hitch and align the slots on hitch with studs on the end panel. Raise the bumper beam and sandwich the hitch, see Figure 1. Reuse the flange nuts and loosely fasten them.

Tighten all fasteners with torque wrench to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N*M)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.

Bottom panel trimming – locate the center of panel and trim 5'' tall by 3.5'' wide area, see Figure 6. Make additional trimming if needed.
7.
Reinstall the wiring, fasteners, fascia, trunk cover panel, and bottom panel removed in step 1-3.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or
ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
