2) After preheating, set the heat level control 6 for the desired use:

Choose a high or the highest setting for cooking thin grill food or for
searing meat . Grill it for a few minutes at maximum temperature on
both sides and then adjust the heat to a lower setting to ensure gentle
cooking .

Choose a medium or low setting for gentle further cooking of the food,
for slow cooking of delicate foods such as vegetables or fish or for
keeping ready-grilled food warm .
NOTE

The operating light 7 goes out as soon as the selected temperature
has been reached .

The operating light 7 may come on and go out several times during
this process . This is not a malfunction of the appliance! It merely indi-
cates that the appliance is maintaining the set temperature .
3) Tip: Oil the cooking grill 1 with a little vegetable oil so that the food does
not stick to the cooking grill 1 .
4) Place the food directly on the cooking grill 1 and turn it over occasionally .
5) Turn the heat level control 6 to 0 and remove the plug from the power
socket .
6) Allow the appliance to cool down, remove the cooking grill 1 and the heat-
ing element 2 and carefully pour out the water from the drip tray 3 .
7) Clean all accessories as described in the section Cleaning .
