4. Never use the meter near explosive gases, vapors or dust.
5. Never apply a voltage greater than the rated voltage indicated on the
meter between the terminals or between the ground and any terminal.
6. Before use, check that the meter is working properly by measuring a
known voltage.
7. The meter should be sent to the designated service department or
qualified professional technician for repair. Use only designated replacement
parts during repair.
8. Exercise caution when working with voltages above 30Vac rms, 42Vac peak
or 60Vdc. These voltages pose a shock hazard.
9. When using the test probes, keep your fingers behind the finger guards.
10. When connecting, connect the common test lead before the live test lead.
When removing the wiring, remove the live test lead before the common
test lead.
11. Remove the test probes before opening the meter casing or battery
cover.
12. Do not use the meter when the battery cover or a part of the casing is
removed or loosened.
13. When the low battery voltage symbol "
" appears on the screen,
replace the batteries immediately. Low battery voltage can cause false
readings, resulting in electric shock or personal injury.
14. Use the meter only as specified in this manual or the safety functions
provided by the meter may be invalid.
15. During current measurement, disconnect the power to the circuit to be
measured before connecting the meter.
16. When the meter is in data hold mode ("
" appears on the screen),
please exercise caution, as the measured circuit may contain dangerous
voltage.
17. To avoid electric shock, the user should not be in contact with any
exposed conductors. The user should be insulated from the ground.
