This luminaire is designed to be mounted to a square or round pole.
For wall mounting a wallplate is required. Order ESX WBA separately.
Luminaires with "BLS" designation in the model number have a switch to adjust
between two lumen levels. The Luminaire default setting is the highest lumen
level "H".
To switch to lower lumen level, place luminaire back on flat surface and use a
1/8" Allen wrench to loosen the (4) captive socket head screws in the access door,
locate the bi-level switch and set to "L". A label on the inside of the access door
will show the H and L lumen levels. See Fig A.
Reinstall access door Note: Make sure that wires are not pinched and tighten
the (4) captive screws with the 1/8" Allen wrench to 25-30 in-lbs Note:
overtightening can cause thread stripping and void all warranties.
DO NOT MOUNT WITH LIGHT AIMING UP
Remove fixture components and parts pack. Check to ensure all parts are
included. Note: Account for small parts and destroy packing material, as these
may be hazardous to children.
Turn OFF Power at circuit breaker box.
CAUTION: Do not rely on wall switch alone to turn off power
1. Install mounting arm onto housing
Remove threaded rods from mounting arm assembly. Thread rods by hand into the
threaded holes in back of Luminaire and tighten with wrench to 10-12ft-lb. Note:
Use flat area in center of rods to grip with wrench.
If mounting Luminaire to a round pole, align square end of mounting arm with
back of housing, if mounting to a square pole, align curved end of arm with back
of housing. Thread wires extending from back of Luminaire through mounting arm
and slide Mounting arm onto threaded rods. See Fig B & C
2. Secure luminaire to pole
Thread wires through center hole of pole drilling. Insert threaded rods extending
from mounting arm assembly into top and bottom holes of pole drilling (#20
drilling pattern). Place pole plate over threaded rods extending inside pole, pull
wires through and secure with split washers and nuts. Use 9/16" wrench to tighten
nuts to 10-12 ft-lb. See Fig D
3. Make wire connections to supply wires in pole
CAUTION: WIRING AND LUMINAIRE OPERATION
Make sure power is turned off.
Ground fixture using wire nut to connect the (copper or green) house supply
ground wire & the green fixture ground wire. Note: If house wiring does not
include a ground wire, consult your local electrical code for approved grounding
methods.
For proper connection, place wire nut over wires
and twist clockwise until tight.
Connect supply wires using wire nut to connect the black fixture wire to the
black power supply wire and the white fixture wire to the white (neutral) supply
wire.
4. Turn on electricity at fuse or circuit breaker box and verify success of
installation.
