CUTTING HEAD AND BLADE HOLDER

MAINTENANCE AND ASSEMBLY
The cutting head and blade holder can be replaced with new parts if necessary.

Place the SECUNORM 590 on a
flat surface. You must remove
the blade ( see Chapter on chan-
ging the blade, 2 to 5 ) and the
blue dirt control device ( see
Chapter on dirt control device,
3 to 4 ) before carrying out the
steps described here.

It is best to push the blade holder
upwards with the thumb of your
left hand ( a ) to be able to lift the
blade cover with the right hand ( b )
to remove the metal pin ( c ) .

Then lift out the protective caps
and the other four screws on the
cutting head and unscrew the
screws on the cutting head.
! The screws are also secured
which makes it more difficult to
be unscrewed completely.

Now lift the metal tube along with
the hooked blade holder and sepa-
rate this from the lower part of the
cutting head ( a ) . As needed remove
the old cutting head ( b ) and/or the
old blade holder ( c ) .

Now remove the upper part of
the cutting head ( without blade
cover unfolded ) .

Insert the new blade holder.
