INSTALLATION OF NEW UPPER GUARD
FIGURE A
1. Place support material (1) under the Motor to prevent it from dropping down while adapting the
new Upper Guard and Roller features.
2. Loosen and remove the Locking Handle (2).
3. Unscrew and temporarily remove the Depth Stop (3).
4. Unscrew and remove the 4 screws retaining the upper Guard.
5. Lift up the old Guard and remove it.

1. Set the new guard (1) in place, aligning the 4 screw holes.
2. Re-install the 4 screws (2) to retain the new Guard.
3. Refasten the Depth Stop (3).
4. Re-install the locking Handle (4) without fully tightening it.
5. Install the new Roller Shaft and Ring Assembly (5). Do not tighten the Nylstop Brake Screw.
6. Adjust the 2 set screws (6) until Rollers contact the rail. Lock into place with the jam nuts.
7. Move the carriage along the rail to check for proper movement. Re-adjust screws (6) if needed.
Tighten the Brake Screw (7) to secure the new Roller Shaft Assembly.
8. Complete tightening the locking Handle (4) and remove the motor support material.
