Attaching the Cathode
• Apply some Degufix cyanoacrylate adhesive (REF 23511365) to the clean metal rod, insert it into
the drilled hole (about 3.0 mm deep) and bond it in.
• Immediately remove excess adhesive and let it dry completely.
Applying the Solaris Conductive Silver Paint
• Shake the bottle of conductive silver paint well before applying it.
• The conductive silver paint may only be applied to a dry and dust-free plaster die.
• Apply the conductive paint evenly with the brush up to the preparation limit and make
a connection to the exposed metal rod.
• Only apply a single coat. Touch up any defective spots.
• Let the conductive silver paint dry for about 30 minutes.
• Important: Please stick to this time in order to prevent contamination of the goldplating bath.
Direct Application of Conductive Silver Paint on Telescopic Crowns/Bars etc.
• Fill the crown with plastic (pattern resin).
• After curing, use the bur (REF 2351 0367) to drill a hole with 2.0 mm diameter in the plastic.
• Put some cyanoacrylate adhesive on the clean metal rod, insert it into the drilled hole
(about 3.0 mm) and bond it in.
• Immediately remove excess adhesive and let it dry completely.
• Important: Degrease the crown to be electroformed before applying the conductive silver paint.
• Shake the conductive silver paint well before applying it.
• Apply the conductive paint evenly with a brush up to the preparation limit and make a connection
to the exposed metal rod.
• Only apply a single coat. Touch up any defective spots.
• Let the conductive silver paint dry for about 30 minutes.
• Please stick to this time in order to prevent contamination of the goldplating bath.
• With metal telescopes, cover the uneven shoulder with plastic.
