5. Format the MP3 player
a) Connect the MP3 player to an available USB port of your PC.
b) Back up all the important files on your MP3 player onto your PC.
c) Open My Computer on your PC and click with the right mouse button on the SUNGOO
removable disk.
d) Select Format....
e) In the window under File system, select the option FAT32.
f) Click on the Start button to start the formatting.
6. Copy files from the PC to the MP3 player
Files that are not copy-protected
a) Use the mouse to mark the desired file or a folder (e. g. with MP3 files). Press the right mouse button
and select Copy to start copying.
b) Under My Computer on your PC, select the SUNGOO removable disk and then switch to the target
folder.
c) Press the right mouse button and select Paste. After copying is completed, the data will be available
on the MP3 player.
WMA DRM9-protected files
To copy DRM9-protected files, you must use the Windows Media® Player.
Under Windows® 98 (SE)/2000/ME/XP, use the Windows Media® Player 9. Under Windows® XP,
you can also use the Windows Media® Player from Version 10.0.
7. Firmware update
Warning: Follow the update procedure described here exactly to prevent data loss and damage to
the MP3 player!
a) Connect the MP3 player to an available USB port of your PC.
b) Back up all the important files on your MP3 player onto your PC.
c) Download the current firmware (ZIP file) from the SUNGOO website (http://www.sungoo.eu).
d) Unzip the ZIP file.
e) Carry out the file setup.exe.
f) Follow the instructions of the installation assistant to install the Firmware Update program.
