Select the menu item Playmode in the sub-menu. Here you can select from several
predefined playback modes.
• Determine tone color
Select the menu item Equalizer in the sub-menu. Here you can select from the predefined tone
color modes.
• Determine recording quality
Select the menu item Record settings in the sub-menu. Here you can select the recording or play-
back quality for microphone recordings. The higher the selected value, the more memory the files
require on the MP3 player.
Mode: Recordings
In this mode you can activate the voice recordings with the integrated microphone and play back the
WAV files, e. g. radio or voice recordings. The WAV files must be located in the FM or VOICE folder of
the MP3 player.

File selection, playback functions and deleting of individual files in the Recordings mode correspond
to the functions in the Music mode.
• Start voice recording (like a dictaphone)
To record using the integrated microphone, hold down for approx. 1 second the REC button.
To stop recording, briefly press the REC button. Press the REC button again to continue the
recording.
Briefly press the M button to stop the recording.
Voice recordings are saved in the VOICE folder of the MP3 player as WAV files (format: V001.WAV,
V002.WAV, etc.).
The setting of the recording quality in the Recordings mode corresponds to the functions in the Music
mode.
Note: Voice recording is automatically stopped when the memory of the MP3 player is full
(message: Memory full!) or the battery power is no longer sufficient (message: Battery low!). Data
that has already been recorded is automatically saved. Additional recordings are no
longer possible.
