OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To Remove the Guard
a. Remove the battery pack and remove any
accessory from the spindle.
b. Open the guard lever to release the guard.
c. Rotate the guard to the position where the tabs
on the guard align with the slots in the gear-case
hub.
d. Lift the guard straight up and remove it from the
tool.
To Adjust the Guard
To adjust the guard, keep the guard lever open,
then rotate the guard to a suitable position so that
the guard body is positioned where it can provide
maximum operator protection, then close the lever to
tighten the guard.
CAUTION:
• To reduce the risk of injury, always remove the battery pack before making any adjustments
or changing accessories.
6. Installing/Removing Accessories
DANGER:
• Use ONLY Type 27 depressed-center grinding
wheels with 6mm thickness. Use ONLY Type
1 cut-off wheels with this angle grinder/cut-off
tool (such as the accessories provided with
this product). This product is only designed
for grinding and cutting-off. Use for any other
purpose is not recommended and may result in
serious injury.
CAUTION:
• Only use accessories with a Maximum Safe
Operating Speed rated at least equal to the maximum speed marked on the tool.
• Only use accessories that comply with the size marked on the tool.
To Install a Wheel
a. Remove the battery pack.
b. Properly position the guard (L,J) (see Guard section).
c. Wipe the flanges (B,C) and spindle to remove dust and debris. Inspect the parts for
damage. Replace if needed.
d. Place the inner flange (B) on the spindle and align it with the spindle, making sure that the
flat surfaces on the bottom of the inner flange are engaged with the flat surfaces on the
spindle.
