Instructions for operators
These safety instructions are not intended to be all
inclusive. It is mandatory that national, state, and
local safety and wiring standards be followed during
installation. These standards take precedence over any
information presented in this manual.
These safety instructions must be accessible to the
operator at all times. They must be shown and made
available to personnel involved in the use or repair of
the equipment.

Operator training
Only personnel who have been trained by qualified
Cleco staff should operate, adjust, or test the tightening
system.
The controller must be programmed, for your specific
application, by qualified personnel
information, refer to the controller programming manual.

Personal protective equipment (PPE)
Risk of injury by entanglement:
→ When working with rotating parts, it is prohibited to
wear gloves.
→ Wear close fitting clothing.
→ If necessary, wear a hair net.
Risk of injury due to ejected components:
→ Wear protective goggles.

Workstation

→ Keep the workplace clean.
→ Ensure that there is enough space in the workstation.
→ Do not operate the nutrunner while tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication.

Operation
→ Ensure a low-resistance PE connection.
→ Protect the cables from heat, oil, sharp edges, or
moving parts.
→ Replace damaged cables immediately..

Maintenance
→ Implement a safety related maintenance program
that takes into account all local regulations for
maintenance and servicing during all operating
phases of the tightening system.

Cleaning
→ Clean the outside surfaces of the system components
with a damp cloth only.

→ Do not immerse the nutrunner or controller in water
or cleaning agents.
→ Do not use a high pressure cleaner.
Disposal
Components of the tightening system pose risks
to health and environment. The tightening system
contains components that can be recycled, as well as
components that have to be disposed of specifically.
→ Follow local regulations regarding waste disposal.
→ Collect auxiliary materials (oils, greases) when
draining and dispose of properly.
→ Separate the packaging components and dispose of
properly.
→ Return the tool and/or system components requiring
service or maintenance to an authorized Cleco
Sales & Service Center.
→ Follow local regulations regarding waste disposal.
Observe disposal guidelines such as, in
Germany,
the
Equipment Act (ElektroG) and the Battery Act
(Battg):
→ Rechargeable batteries must be properly
disposed of at the end of their service life.
Return batteries requiring service to an
authorized Cleco Sales & Service Center.
