Installing the Acuitus

The Acuitus is easy to install.
1. Attach the power cord.
2. Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet and turn on the power switch.
Note: The floppy drive is to be used only when installing official Humphrey Acuitus software
upgrades. It is not for patient data files or other software.

If You Move the Instrument

Always lock the optics head in place before you move the instrument. If you move it without locking the
optics head, you could put it out of calibration. To lock the optics head, rotate the joystick counter
clockwise until the head is fully lowered and locked in place.
Once the instrument has been moved and you are ready to use it, unlock and raise the optics head by
rotating the joystick clockwise. Then check the instrument's calibration following the procedure described
on page 17.
Important: Always pick up the Acuitus by the base. Never pick it up by the headrest or screen arm.
Doing so could damage important components of the instrument.
