The fact that the towing bracket has been mounted to the vehicle must be entered in the
vehicle papers at the next possible opportunity. The mounting instructions must be added to
the vehicle papers.
General Installation Intructions:
If present, remove insulating compound and/or underseal in the area of the towing bracket
contact surfaces. Coat bare bodywork with anti-corrosion paint.
Mount 7-pin electrical system as per DINV 72570.
Mount 13-pin electrical system as per ISO 11446.
Retighten all mounting bolts of the towing bracket after aprox. 1000 towing km. Please note,
that after mounting the drawbar the mass of your vehicle will change.
Mounting instructions:
Remove the rear bumper and the plastic spoiler.

Remove the bumper inset and the cover of the chassis extension (these will not be
–
reinstalled later).
Lower the exhauster.

Slide the accessory plate (2) into the left chassis extension then according to the drawing
–
loosely fix it at positions „a, b" with the attached bonding units.
Slide the drag hook body into the right chassis extension then according to the drawing
–
loosely fix it at positions „a, b" with the attached bonding units.
According to the drawing loosely fix the accessory plates (3,4) to the drag hook body at
–
positions „c" then to the rear wall of the car at positions „d" with the attached bonding
units.
Adjust the drag hook into mid-position then tighten all the screws.

According to the attached templet cut out the bumper.
–
According to the regulations connect the electric wires by cracking the rear bundle.
–
Reinstall the bumper, the plastic spoiler and the exhauster.
–
Only specialised services are authorised to install drawhooks.
