SCAN/CAL button successively to obtain the scan an-
gle: 10°/30°/60°.
- To rotate the scan angle, press the keys

MANUAL VERTICAL OPERATION
Activating the manual mode
- Switch on the instrument by briefly pressing the I/O key
and let the instrument level.
- Press the MAN key
- The green LED to the right of the MAN key will light up.
- The manual function is activated.
SPEED function
- Press the SPEED button successively to select the
speed: 600/300/0 rpm.
- To move the beam step by step clockwise or counter-
clockwise, press the keys
- To switch to Scan mode, press the SPEED button until
the beam stops, then press SCAN/CAL.
Scan function
- When the self-levelling beam is at 0 rpm, press the
SCAN/CAL key to obtain the scan angle: 10°/30°/60°.
- To direct the scan angle, press the
SLOPE function to tilt the projected plane at will
- Press the TILT/SLOPE button.

CALIBRATION
Checking and setting the reference point
Here are some simple instructions for checking the cali-
bration of the instrument. This is a precision instrument
and it is important to keep it calibrated and in perfect
condition.
The accuracy of your work is your responsibility, so you
should check the instrument regularly, especially before
a major task.
Horizontal check (X and Y axis)
1. Place the instrument on a tripod 20 m from a wall so
that the X1 side of the instrument is facing the wall,
and turn it on to perform an automatic levelling.
2. Turn on the receiver and centre it on the screen. Mark
the elevation on the wall with "A".
3. Loosen the centre screw of the tripod to rotate the in-
strument 180° so that the X2 side of the instrument
faces the wall. Tighten the screw again.
