11. PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
a) Someone should be within range of your voice OR close enough to come to your aid when you
work near a lead-acid battery.
b) Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid contacts, skin, clothing or eyes.
c) Wear eye protection and protective clothing. Avoid touching eyes when working near a battery.
d) If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, immediately wash with soap and water. If acid enters
eyes, immediately flood with running cold water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention
immediately.
e) NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of the battery or engine.
f)
Be extra cautious to reduce risk of dropping a metal tool onto battery. It might spark or short-circuit
battery or other electrical parts that may cause explosion.
g) Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches when working with
a lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery can produce a short-circuit current high enough to weld a
ring or the like to metal, causing a severe burns
h) Use charger output circuit for charging a LEAD-ACID battery only. It is not intended to supply
power to a low voltage electrical system other than in a starter-motor application. Do not use
battery charger for charging dry-cell batteries that are commonly supplied with household
appliances. These batteries may burst and cause injury to persons and damage to property.
i)
NEVER charge a frozen battery.
12. PREPARING TO CHARGE
a) If necessary to remove battery from vehicle to charge, always remove grounded terminal from
battery first. Make sure all accessories in the vehicle are off, so as not to cause an arc.
b) Be sure area around battery is well ventilated while battery is being charged. Gas can be
forcefully blown away by using a piece of cardboard or other non-metallic material as a fan.
c) Clean battery terminals. Be careful to keep corrosion from coming in contact with eyes.
d) Add distilled water in each cell until battery acid reaches level specified by battery manufacturer.
This helps purge excessive gas from cells. Do not overfill. For a battery without cell caps,
carefully follow manufacturer's recharging instructions.
e) Study all battery manufacturer's specific precautions such as removing or not removing cell caps
while charging and recommended rates of charge.
f)
Determine voltage of battery by referring to vehicle or other user's manual and BEFORE MAKING
THE BATTERY CONNECTIONS. MAKE SURE THAT THE VOLTAGE OF THE BATTERY YOU
ARE GOING TO CHARGE MATCHES THE OUTPUT VOLTAGE OF THE CHARGER.
13. CHARGER LOCATION
Locate charger as far away from battery as DC cables permit. Never place charger directly above battery
being charged ; gases from battery will corrode and damage the charger. Never allow battery acid to drip
on charger when reading gravity or filling battery. Do not operate charger in a closed-in area or restrict
ventilation in any way. Do not set a battery on top of charger.
14. DC CONNECTION PRECAUTIONS
(Note also – Important Note on Connections – in the text below)
a) Connect and disconnect DC output clips only after removing charger or AC extension cord from
electric outlet. Never allow clips to touch each other, however should this happen no damage will
result to the charger circuit and the automatic charging program will just reset to start.
b) Attach clips to battery posts and twist or rock back and forth several times to make a good
connection. This tends to keep clips from slipping off terminals and helps to reduce risk of
sparking. The charger circuit is provided with automatic spark suppression in such cases.

b) Conecte por lo menos una 24 pulgada de largo de 6 AWG aisló cable de batería a NEGATIVO
(NEG, N-) el poste de batería. Para pequeñas baterías con etiquetas o anuncia inapropiado para
conectar el cable, conecta clip NEGATIVO de corcel dirige a la terminal NEGATIVA de la batería
al seguir artículo 16 (D)abajo.
c) Conecte POSITIVO (ROJO) clip de corcel a POSITIVO (el punto de ventas, P +) el poste
de batería.
d) Posiciónelo y liberte el fin de cable como muy lejos de la batería como posible: Entonces conecte
NEGATIVO (NEGRO) clip de corcel para libertar el fin de cable.
e) No encare batería al hacer la conexión final.
f)
Al desconectar el corcel, siempre hace así en la sucesión inversa de conectar el procedimiento
& interrupción primero conexión mientras como muy lejos de la batería como práctico.
g) Un marina (el barco) batería debe ser quitada & cargado en la costa. Para cargarle requiere a
bordo el equipo especialmente diseñado para el uso marino.
IMPORTANTE; Proteja su corcel y sea dirige, los conectores, poseedores de fusible, los fusibles
y las terminaciones de la contaminación por ácidos y líquidos, de la exposición a húmedo o la
humedad, y del daño físico o accidental. Ningún daño a la unidad, es dirige ni las partes de
accesorio que resultan de tal contaminación, la exposición ni el daño en no cubrió por la garantía.
INSTRUCCIONES OPERADORAS
ESCOGER PARA 6V O la BATERIA 12V: (aplicable sólo a AccuMate 612 modelo mini)
Establezca si la batería para ser cargada es una batería 6V con 3 células conectadas,
O la batería a12V con 6 células conectadas y coloca el interruptor de la selección del
corcel 6V/12V en el correcto en la posición. (interruptor está en el lado inferior del corcel)
EL ACCUMATE mini VIENE CON 2 CONJUNTOS SEPARABLES de la CONEXION QUE TAPAN EN
EL CONECTOR de 2 ASTAS EN EL CABLE DE SALIDA del CORCEL :-
1 conjunto con clipes de batería.
1 conjunto con ojetes de metal para fijar permanentemente a los postes de la batería.
Las CONEXIONES : Después de que asegurar que la entrada & cables de producción, accionen tapón &
los componentes de la conexión están en la condición ilesa buena, hacen las conexiones de batería que
utilizan uno del encima de-listó accesorios separables de conexión, con cuidado siguiente el
procedimiento& la sucesión detalló en las instrucciones de la seguridad & observando las polaridades
apropiadas (negativo/ -ve = negro, positivo/ + ve = rojo).
Si utilizando el conjunto de la conexión con clipes de batería, desconecta & quita la batería del vehículo
& lo coloca en una superficie fija plana en un lugar bien-ventilado, distanced en lo posible del corcel y
cualquier otro equipo, antes de conectar. El conjunto de la conexión con ojetes de metal permite una
conexión permanente segura a los postes de motocicleta y baterías de cortacéspedes de paseo-en que a
menudo son proporcionadas con tornillos. Después de que hacer las conexiones apropiadas de batería,
tapen el corcel en un enchufe del poder 120VAC.
