This manual contains
information that is very important
to know and understand. This
information is provided for
SAFETY and to PREVENT
EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS. To
help recognize this information,
observe the following symbols.

Daily Cleaning

a. Open fuel cell door.
b. Remove air intake cover (grille) by pressing on
grille and turning grille slightly out toward the
top of the tool.
c. The filter is held in place by the grille; filter
should lift out of place easily. Remove all
large particulates from the grille and wash
with a mild soap and water. Check and clean
the filter on a regular basis. We recommend
cleaning the filter every other day and before
tool is placed in storage for any long period of
time.
d. Place filter back in original position and snap
grille back into original position. Close fuel cell door.
Regular Use Cleaning

Remove all fasteners,
fuel cell, and battery
prior to servicing tool.
Failure to remove fasteners, fuel cell, and
battery can lead to serious personal injury.
Never attempt to service or repair this tool
while tool is loaded.
1. Use the 4mm hex key wrench to remove the
magazine and handle assembly. Remove the
two socket head cap screws from the nose
piece (see Figure 2).
2. Pivot the magazine and handle assembly
away from the motor assembly (see
Figure 2).
3. Remove the cap and air filter. Unscrew the
four socket head cap screws (see Figure 3).
4. Gently tilt the handle and magazine assembly
away from the motor assembly. Pull the two
assemblies apart (see Figure 4).
Carefully separate
these two assemblies.
Make sure that the fan does not scratch
the combustion chamber. Carefully set the
handle and magazine assembly down so that
you do not damage the fan blades or bend
the fan motor shaft.
The tool is now separated into two assemblies,
allowing access to the individual areas that
require periodic cleaning and lubrication.
