2. Depress the plastic buttons on either end of the hinge joints and allow the Bed Guard to fold down
away from the bed and towards the floor.
3. Place the child into the bed.
4. Depress the plastic buttons again and raise the Bed Guard back into position until it has clicked back
into position.
5. Always ensure that the Bed Guard is pushed firmly up against the mattress after carrying out this acti-
vity.
6. Ensure that fingers are kept away from the hinge mechanism once the buttons have been depressed.
1. Remove the Bed Guard from the bed and place on a flat surface.
Instructions to retract the Bed Guard
2. Locate the concealed central locking pin by feeling along the lower rung of the frame (fig 7).
3. Release the locking mechanism by pressing firmly on the lower concealed locking pin and pushing
the frame slightly together.
4. With one hand on each end of the Bed Guard, push together, closing the frame to its travel/storage position.
5. Depress the plastic buttons on either end of the hinge joints and fold the Bed Guard down onto
the support legs, into its travel/storage position.
