Optional Install For Overlapping A Dishwasher (cont.)
IMPORTANT! Do not drill through the top surface of the sink.
Drill pilot holes through the bottom of the block of wood and
into the underside of the sink frame. Choose an appropriate drill
size based on the type of screw being used to secure the sink to
the block of wood.
Secure the edge of the washboard to the support block using the
appropriate screws.
Make sure the sink has not moved out of position. Carefully
thread the screws to tighten the brackets and secure the sink in
place. Do not overtighten.
Apply a thin, continuous bead of quality sealant around the sink
edges.
Immediately wipe away any excess sealant, and fill any voids as
needed.
Allow the sealant to cure according to the manufacturer's
instructions before proceeding.
If desired, add trim to cover any gap that may exist between the
dishwasher and the washboard.
Install the garbage disposal, if desired. Follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
Connect and tighten the trap to the strainer, and complete the
water supply connections to the faucet according to the
instructions packed with the faucet.
Run water into the sink and check for leaks.
Clean up with a non-abrasive cleaner.
