1 Safety
Safety use of autoclaves.
In order to be respected, across this manual, the risk of danger situations are
remarked.

1.1 Safety symbols

It identify the risk and the safety actions to be applied.
The symbols make reference to the paragraph marked with a grey line.

Electric hazard for entering in areas marked with this signal, or for following the
manual instruction signalled by this icon.

1.2 Risks which the operator is put under

Autoclave uses exposes to the operator to the following situations of risk:
• Possibility of touching parts to a temperature above to 60ºC
• Possible be in contact with hot steam.
• Electrical risk.

1.3 Personnel training

This equipment must only operated by personnel trained an suitable qualifi ed to
work in a laboratory and its common hazards.
This equipment must only operated by personnel who have read and understood
this manual or have been qualifi ed on its manipulation and operation.

1.4 Proper uses of the equipment

This equipment is for indoor laboratory use, for sterilizing loads as described.
The sterilization assurance needs also proper procedures for cleaning and storing
the loads.
The improper use of this unit (not following manual instructions) can endanger the
protection prepared by the equipment.
This equipment its not designed and not manufactured to work in an explosive
ambient area.
1.5 Modifi cations
The operation modifi cation or the manipulation of the safety systems unauthorized
by the manufacturer, could expose the operator to hazards not indicated in this
manual.
