Fault
The machine does not turn on.

sed only in drips.

Please contact an authorized service centre for any faults not covered in the above table or when the suggested
solutions do not solve the problem.
Possible cause
Machine not connected to the power sup-
ply.
No water in the tank.
The "machine ready" light (15) was off whi-
le switching the selection knob (17) to the

The portafi lter is not inserted for prehea-
ting (section 5).
Cold cups.
Not suitable milk: powdered milk, low-fat
milk.
Dirty Pannarello.
No steam in the boiler.
Too little coff ee in the portafi lter.
Coff ee ground is too coarse.
Coff ee is old or not suitable.
Old or not suitable pod.
One component missing in the portafi lter.
No water.
The grind is too fi ne.
Coff ee pressed in the portafi lter.
Too much coff ee in the portafi lter.
Knob (4) is open.
Traces of limestone.
The fi lter in the portafi lter is clogged.
Not suitable pod.
The portafi lter is incorrectly inserted into
the brew unit.
The upper edge of the portafi lter is dirty.
Pod wrongly inserted.
Too much coff ee in the portafi lter.
Solution
Connect the machine to the power supply.
Refi ll with water. (section 4.4).
Wait until the "machine ready" light (15) turns
on.
Preheat the portafi lter.
Preheat the cups with hot water.
Use whole milk.
Clean the Pannarello as described in section 9.
Prime the circuit (section 4.5) and repeat the
operations described in section 8.
Add coff ee (section 5).
Use a diff erent blend (section 6).
Use a diff erent blend (section 6).
Change the pod.
Make sure that all components are present and
that they have been installed properly.
Refi ll with water. (section 4.4).
Use a diff erent blend (section 6).
Shake the ground coff ee.
Reduce the quantity of coff ee in the portafi lter.
Close the knob (4).
Descale the machine (section 10).
Clean the fi lter (Section 9).
Change type of pod.
Insert the portafi lter correctly (Section 5).
Clean the rim of the portafi lter.
Insert the pod correctly. Make sure it does not
come out of the portafi lter.
Reduce the quantity of coff ee using the measu-
ring scoop.
