PREPARING ITALIAN ESPRESSO COFFEE

Note: Make sure there is water in the tank before use. Failure to do so will reduce the
life of the pump. Add water as soon as the water level is below the MIN mark.
Preheating
1. Open the tank cover and pour an appropriate amount of water into the tank. Note
that the water level must not exceed the MAX scale and must not be lower than the
MIN scale.
2. Insert the plug into the socket and press POWER. The POWER indicator flashes and
indicates that the appliance is heating up. When the indicator stops flashing, the
appliance is completely heated.
Espresso preparation
3. Fill the desired sieve with espresso powder and squeeze the powder lightly with the
end of the powder spoon.
4. Insert the sieve into the sieve holder. Insert the sieve holder into the appliance and
turn it to the right to lock it.
5. Place 1 or 2 espresso cups under the strainer support and press SINGLE (1 cup),
DOUBLE (2 cups) or MANUAL to start making espresso. The machine stops
automatically when the corresponding quantity of espresso has been dispensed.
Note: Espresso dispensing of the DOUBLE function stops automatically after 40
seconds. The espresso dispensing of the SINGLE function stops automatically after
20 seconds. If you have selected MANUAL, the espresso dispensing does not
stop automatically. You must press the MANUAL button again to stop the espresso
dispensing.
