CYLINDER MAINTENANCE
See Figure 3.
1. Remove o-ring (18) and cylinder ring (20) from the cylinder (19).
2. Remove piston ring (14).
3. Remove and replace bumper (21).
4. Clean all parts with a dry, clean cloth.
5. Apply a light coat of grease to new o-ring (18) and install.
6. Reassemble parts in the order shown in Figure 3.
7. Reinsert the driver (16) and cylinder (19) into the tool body. Be sure the
driver guide (22) is properly seated and the driver shaft is inserted into
the driver guide in the proper direction.
8. Reinstall the cylinder cap seal (13).
9. Reinstall the top cap and secure.
NOTE: To properly seat cap, tighten the screws at alternate corners a
few turns at a time until all screws are secure.
REPLACING THE TRIGGER VALVE ASSEMBLY
See Figures 4 - 5.
1. Push out the trigger pivot pin (42) and retainer (41); set aside.
NOTE: The retainer is a very small part. Remove it carefully.
2. Remove the trigger (40) and spring (39).
3. Push out the two spring pins (37 and 38) just far enough to remove the
trigger valve assembly. It is not necessary to completely remove the
pins.
4. Pull out the old trigger valve assembly (99).
5. Install the new trigger valve assembly. Be sure the grooves in the valve
assembly match up with the two holes for the spring pins, as shown in
Figure 5.
6. Reinstall the spring pins (37 and 38).
7. Reinstall the spring (39) and trigger (40).
8. Reinstall the trigger pivot pin (42) and the retainer (41).
