This package contains one optional 500-
sheet feeder that can be adjusted for letter
(LTR), legal (LGL), executive (EXEC), A4,
A5, JIS B5, and custom paper sizes.
Turn the printer power off (callout 1).
Disconnect all cables from the rear of the
printer (callout 2).
Note There might be additional cables
connected to the printer that are not shown
in this illustration. Make sure that you
all
disconnect of the cables from the rear of
the printer.
Remove the orange tape from the 500-
sheet feeder.
WARNING! To prevent possible injury or
damage to the printer, separate the printer
from any currently installed optional feeders
before lifting the printer. Two people should
lift the printer.
Note The tray-lock lever must be in the
unlocked position to separate the printer
from any installed optional feeders.

Open the paper tray from the feeder.
Remove all orange tape and packing
material from the tray.

Using the handles on the sides of the
printer, lift the printer onto the 500-sheet
feeder and align the holes in the base of the
printer with the mounting pins on the 500-
sheet feeder.
