REMARK: When tightening the flange, it is important to do it evenly so that the inner faces are parallel
between them. Since the locking system is highly efficient, do not tighten the nuts too much.During
this operation (tightening of the flange locking nuts) keep the body of the burner lifted so that the
combustion head is kept in a horizontal position.

IGNITION PREPARATIONS

1) Check that the nozzles fitted are suitable for the power of the boiler. The table shows the supply values of
light oil in kg/h according to nozzle size and pump pressure (this is usually 12 bar for the 1st and 2nd
flame). Remember that 1 kg of light oil is equal to about 10.200 kcal). When selecting nozzles (spray angle
45°) note that fuel feed at the first flame should not be much lower that minimum burner capacity (15 kg/h).
2) Make sure that the blast tube penetrates into the combustion chamber as required by the boiler
manufacturer.
3) Make sure that the tank return pipe is not obstructed, e.g. by closed gates, caps, etc.. Any obstructions
would break the seal (located on the pump shaft) or the hose.
4) Set switch on boiler to "0" position in order to avoid automatic switch-on.
5) If burner is three-phase, make sure it turns anti-clockwise by watching the burner from the pump side.
Motor rotation direction can be noted by watching the fan rotation direction through the inspection window
on the upper part of the volute. To operate the motor, close the remote switch manually (by pressing the
mobile part) for a little while and watch the fan rotation direction. If it is necessary to reverse rotation
direction, change over two phases of the line input terminal connections ( L1 - L2 - L3 ).
N.B. To be absolutely sure about which way the fan is rotating, wait until it slows well down. Otherwise, it is
easy to mistake direction.
6) Open the air-bleed valve, if fitted to the pump. If it is not, remove the cap on the pressure gauge port.
7) Now press the mobile part of the motor remote switch again. This will operate the pump aspirating fuel
from the tank. Filling is completed when fuel can be seen flowing out of the air-bleed valve.
8) Stop the motor and close the air-bleed valve. The burner is now ready for ignition.
