NOTE:
In extreme cases, such as when the sensor is exposed
to moisture, warmup can take up to 20 minutes.
4. Using TEK-Mate to detect leaks
a. Place the tip of TEK-Mate as close as possible to suspected
leak (do not block air flow).
b. Slowly move the probe past each possible leak point. If a leak is
detected, TEK-Mate will alarm and the HIGH or LOW indicator
will flash. Faster flashing and alarm indicate a higher
concentration of refrigerant.
c. When a leak is identified, pull the probe away from the leak for a
few seconds and return to the suspected leak site.
NOTE:
For large leaks, press the power button to switch to low
sensitivity mode. The LOW indicator will flash when
low sensitivity mode is active.
5. Replacing filters
a. Remove dirty or clogged filter with a paper clip or similar object.
b. Push the new filter into the probe tip.
