The samos®PRO COMPACT system meets the
basic requirement of Class A (industrial applica-
tions) according to the generic technical stand-
ard "Emitted Interference!"
CAUTION
The samos®PRO COMPACT system is therefore only
suitable for use in an industrial environment and not
in private areas.
2.5 Disposal
The disposal of unusable or irreparable devices should always be

Product description
3.1 Description
The module SP-DIO serves to extend a samos®PRO systems by up
to eight unsafe inputs and up to eight unsafe outputs.
Configuration of the module is carried out using the software
samos®PLAN6.
The module fulfills the following tasks:
Forwarding the input information to the main module
Receipt of control signals from the main module and correspond-
ing switching of outputs
The module SP-DIO cannot be used on its own, and always needs a
main module, see configuration software samos®PLAN6.
Simultaneous use of several SP-DIO modules is possible (a maxi-
mum total of twelve SP-DIO units in a system).
Each input/output extension module SP-DIO must be connected to
an external power supply for the outputs.
