Install the rubber stop into the swing away
assembly with the jam nuts as shown in Figure 11.
Adjust the rubber pad so that there is some force
applied to the swing away when the tailgate is shut,
but so it is not excessive. Some load is required to
eliminate rattles. Once properly adjusted, tighten
the jam nut against the swing away to lock the
bump stop.

Check all hardware is tight and the Tailgate and Swing Away combination opens and closes smoothly.
Use provided lug nuts to secure tire to swing away. Make sure the tire pulls tight against tubes.
Periodically check all hardware for tightness and grease the pivot regularly.

Care and Cleaning

• Rampage Bumpers are built to last; any detergent you use to wash your vehicle is sufficient to clean the
bumper. Do not use any harsh abrasive detergents. Periodically check and lubricate moving parts, tire swing
pivot has a zerk fitting to grease joint.
