GETTING STARTED

Load the battery (see LOADING THE
BATTERY on page 9), and then set the
language and the date and time on the
camera.

Setting the language

US English is initially set into the memory
of this camera, but you can select
another language (12 options available).
See the table on page 6 for the List of
languages and the LCD (Liquid Crystal
Display) abbreviated codes.
1. Completely lift
up the lens
cover/flash (3)
to uncover the
lens (7) and to
turn on the
camera.
2 Press the menu button (24) once.

3. Press and hold the select button (23)
for approximately 4 seconds until
" US " blinks on the LCD panel (13).
