Valve Maintenance
Under normal use very little maintenance should be required.
i. Between crops or at the end of the season take the
valve apart and clean carefully, taking special care to
gently clean the bungs.
ii. Carefully check bungs for signs of deterioration,
replace the valve if the bungs are corroded.
Disassembling and assembling the valve
1. The lower float is removed by holding at a right angle to the main
body and sliding out through the open clip. To reassemble, slide
back through the open clip.
2. The inner float is removed by taking off the valve lid, and then
positioning two fingers on the inside back wall of the inner float and
your thumb on the outside back wall of the main body. Squeeze
finger to thumb, putting pressure on the inside back wall of the inner
float, there will be a clear click when it comes free.
3. To reassemble, slide back into position, carefully line up the locking
arms up with the shaped slots, and with your thumb on the inside
front of the inner valve, and two fingers either side of the barbed
inlet, squeeze finger to thumb until it clicks back into place.
Reposition the valve lid.

iii. We would suggest using warm water with a little
washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush. A small
pipe-cleaner can also be pushed though the 4mm
inlet if required to clear any residues.
iv. When putting the valve back together always ensure
both bungs are correctly positioned before fitting
and using the valve.
