Rough-in Installation
Control valve assembly, piping
and fittings

1)
Determine wall thickness
Determine type of wall and wall
thickness where valve will be
mounted as follows.
Fiber Glass or acrylic walls:
Th ickness =

Dry wall, plaster, other type

Attach mounting plate
Seat plate against valve assembly.

Attach plastic protective shield
by snap fi tting over end of valve
spindle as shown in fi gure 2.

Remove protective shields.
Remove shield snap fi tted over
the end of valve spindle aft er
valve is securely installled

Adjust valve packing nut
Turn hot & cold supplies on.
Valve will not operate unless

1/16" (2 mm) min.
1/2" (13 mm) max.

Flush system and check
for leaks
Turn valve to the warm position
and run for a few minutes.
If system is dirty, remove valve
spindle in valve to ensure
proper fl ushing. See service
instructions.
