Connecting a discharge pipe to the
pump
□ Wrap the threads of the 2 in. discharge pipe (1) with thread
sealant tape.
□ Attach the discharge pipe (1) to the discharge of the
pump (A).

Placing the pump in a basin
□
Drill a 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) hole in the discharge pipe about
2 – 3 in. above the pump discharge (but below check valve)
installed. This vent hole will help to prevent air lock.
□ Place the pump (A) on a hard surface inside a basin.

NOTICE: Pump is equipped with a
air lock. A small stream of water may flow from this hole during
operation and it is normal.

Connecting the check valve
□ Connect the discharge pipe to the elbow, union, check
valve, and ball valve in the order appropriate for the
inatallation.
