your vehicle. Improper attachment could result in an automobile accident, and could cause serious bodily injury
or death to you or to others. You are responsible for securing the racks and accessories to your car, checking
the attachments prior to use, and periodically inspecting the products for adjustment, wear, and damage.
Therefore, you must read and understand all of the instructions and cautions supplied with your Yakima
product prior to installation or use. If you do not understand all of the instructions and cautions, or if you have
no mechanical experience and are not thoroughly familiar with the installation procedures, you should have
the product installed by a professional installer such as a qualified rack specialty installer or auto body shop.

REMOVE THE COVERS OR REMOVE THE FACTORY RACK.
Use a screwdriver to pry up and
remove the covers from your vehicle.

INSTALL THE PADS.

identify the proper placement.

INSTALL THE BASE.
Place a base over the pad.

SECURE THE LANDING PADS.

If you have a factory rack installed,
follow the instructions that came
with the factory rack to remove it.
Place the pad into the opening
being sure that it is fully seated.
Use the hex wrench to
install a washer and
bolt to secure the base
8.5 +/- .5 Nm
and pad to the vehicle.

NOTE: There is a thread-lock
patch applied to the bolt. As
you tighten the bolt it will
