Use

PLEASE NOTE!
Always pay attention while using the device. Only work in good visibility and light
conditions.
Do not use the device in poor weather conditions, in particular not when there
is a threat of lightning.
Always check the working area – clear any coarse dirt and objects lying around
which may be spread around by the device or become caught in the device.
After the device has been switched off, the cutting blades carry on rotating for
a few seconds. Wait until the cutting blades have come to a complete standstill.
Only place down the device once the cutting blades have come to a complete
standstill.
Always switch off the device before vacating the working area, e. g. when cross-
ing paths or similar places.
Never use the device without or with a damaged protective visor.
Always guide the device with two hands. Always keep the handle and the extra
grip dry, clean and free of grease to ensure that the device can be held securely
and fi rmly during use.
If there is imminent danger or in an emergency, switch the device off immediately
and take out the battery.
Follow the country-specifi c or municipal regulations for cutting shrubs.
1.
Familiarise yourself with all of the features and functions of the device.
2. Put on suitable clothing and protective equipment and satisfy yourself that the area
you are working in is clear of any objects that may get in the way.
3. Adjust the device to suit your needs and the work that needs to be done (see the
"Assembly and Settings of the Device" chapter)
4. Insert the battery (see the "Inserting / Detaching the Battery" chapter).
5. Adopt a stable posture and hold the device so that the opening of the protective
visor (8) is always facing away from your body.
6. Switch on the device by sliding the locking lever (13) to one side and at the same
time pressing and holding down the On switch (1). The cutting blades (9) will start
to rotate.
7. Guide the cutting head (11) at an even speed using the appropriate technique (see
the following sections) over the working surface. Make sure that you do not hold the
cutting blades too close to rocks or similar materials.
8. As soon as you let go of the On switch again, the device switches off and the locking
lever returns to its starting position.
9. If you take breaks and after fi nishing work, take the battery out of the device.
Technique – Trimming Lawn Areas
Align the cutting head (11) parallel with the ground. The angle of the cutting head to
the ground should be no more than 20° (Picture I1).
Guide the device at the height you want in an arc from one side to the other over the
lawn surface (Picture I2). In the case of tall grass, you should gradually trim it bit by
bit to the length you want.
