3.3 Festo installation accessories
We recommend that you use the Festo cable sockets ASI-SD-
FK (part no. 18785) for connecting valve terminals of type 10.
You will then comply with protection class IP65.
Proceed as follows:
1. Connect the cable socket in accordance with the
separate brief description.
2. Make sure that the AS-i cable is not stretched.
3. Place the cable socket into position and screw it tight.

2 AS-i cable
Cable cap type ASI-KK-FK
Please note the following if branch lines are used:
–
The maximum total length of the AS-i bus must not exceed
100 m.
–
The length of the load voltage cable depends on the current
consumption of the valve terminal and on fluctuations in the
load voltage.
–
An open-ended cable should be fitted with a Festo cable cap
type ASI-KK-FK (part no. 18787) or with a cable bushing type
ASI-KT-FK (part no. 165 593). You thereby avoid leakage
currents and comply with protection class IP65.
