- Take precaution when working with voltages above 60 VDC or 30 VAC rms. These voltages
could cause an electrical shock.
-When the multimeter is connected to measurement circuits, do not touch the terminals.

-When making connections, connect the common testing point before connecting the live
testing point.
-When disconnecting, disconnect the live point before disconnecting the common testing
point.
-Before changing the multimeter's function, make sure to disconnect the testing points from
the circuit being measured.
-Disconnect energy circuits and discharge all high voltage capacitors before making any
measurements with the testing points.
-Before measuring current, check the multimeter's fuse and remove any energy current from
the circuit.
-When making measurements on television you wish to repair, make sure to use a TV filter in
order to avoid the voltage spikes that can be caused and damage your multimeter.
-Make sure to replace the multimeter's battery as soon as the low battery indicator appears
on the LCD screen. With low battery, the multimeter may produce inaccurate readings which
can cause electrical shock or physical damage.
