5 HARDWARE INSTALLATION
5.1.6 Installing the Cable Management Door:
5.1.5.1 Mount the Cable Management Door to the Frame by placing the top post into
the mounting flange, gently lift the Spool Door up and insert the bottom post
into the bottom pivot cam while keeping the top post in place.
5.1.5.2 The hinge on the cable management door is a cam pivoting hinge (Figure 9).
To open gently use a cable management spool to pull the door open.
NOTE: When multiple Frames are positioned together, gang adjacent frames using the #12/24
screws provided at the 4 ganging points. Perform final tightening after all floor mounting
attachments have been made.
5.2 Installing a Leviton MDA Patch Deck
Install a Leviton HDF3168 Frame Patch Deck by following these steps:
5.2.1 Select the target rack unit location (Figure 10) and thread the provided 12/24 screws 3-4
turns in the correct holes.
5.2.2 Place the deck over the screws and while supporting with one hand tighten each screw
to hand tight torque.
5.2.3 Verify unobstructed movement of each tray.
5.2.4 Facing the front of the mounted deck, place the cable management louver over the
screws on the left hand side (Figure 11).
5.2.5 The top louver screw will be inserted into the second threaded hole from the top of the
target deck RU position. Using a long Phillips head screwdriver, attach the louver to the
frame. A magnetic tip is recommended.
