Optional Temperature Limiting Adjustment
NOTE: Your faucet has the capability to limit the range of temperatures controlled by
lever position. Setting the position of the locking ring will reduce the quantity of
either hot water flow or cold water flow. If the supplied hot water is higher than is
comfortable or safe, the quantity of cold water flow can be increased relative to the
hot water flow.
Use the following procedure to adjust the limit-temperature locking ring:
Pry off the plug button using a small flat-blade screwdriver or equivalent tool.
Using a hex wrench, loosen the setscrew and remove the handle.
NOTE: The inner and outer rings have location arrows. These arrows are aligned
with one another when the assembly is shipped. If the outer ring is rotated clockwise
in respect to the inner ring, cold water flow will be restricted. If the outer ring is
rotated counterclockwise in respect to the inner ring, hot water flow will be restricted.
The handle can still be used to adjust temperature within the limited range.
Note the position of the outer locking ring relative to the inner geared ring.
NOTE: Pry the outer locking ring up equally at either side in order to remove it from
the valve.
Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, pry up the outer locking ring.
Rotate the position of the locking ring relative to the inner geared ring as desired.
Align the geared teeth and slide the locking ring back into position.
Place the handle back onto the assembly.
If desired, test the setting and repeat these steps in order to make further
adjustments.
When all adjustments are complete, secure the handle by tightening the setscrew
with a hex wrench.
Place the plug button in place.
