Maintenance
5.1
Cleaning
The housing and the LCD are only to be cleaned using
a soft cloth and neutral cleaning agents. Do not use
abrasive cleaning agents and coarse workshop cloths.
5.2
Calibration
For applications demanding mandatory calibration,
annual calibration is essential. The German order on
calibration (part of the order on exhaust emission
tests) describes the checking of exhaust emission
analyzers as follows:
"The analyzers must be serviced under the conditions specified
in the usage instructions within the stipulated periods,
however at intervals of not more than 6 months. The work can
be performed by a maintenance service or by qualified staff
employed by the owner of the analyzer. A maintenance record is
to be kept and the analyzer accordingly labelled."
5.3
AMM maintenance
5.3.1
Maintenance intervals
i
Routine maintenance ensures constant readiness for
operation. The filter GF 1 is to be replaced at regular
intervals (Recommendation: Once a week given
normal usage).
In Germany, proof of annual and half-yearly maintenance
can be provided by way of the test record 1 689 980 302
and the sticker 1 689 980 194 can be used for labelling.
It is advisable to make use of the Bosch maintenance
booklet 1 689 980 241 for filing the records.
If they have to be opened (repair work), units are then
to be re-calibrated (refer also to bulletin on calibration
of exhaust gas analyzers for spark ignition engines).
Unit repairs (opening, adjustment, servicing etc.) are
only to be performed by authorized Service personnel.
