Please Read Before Installing
Overview
The RF Contact Closure Input Interface (HR-CCI-6-
SW) allows the HomeWorks lighting control system to
seamlessly integrate with other manufacturers' contact
closure outputs. The RF CCI Interface may be conve-
niently located close to the controlling equipment,
because it wirelessly communicates with the
HomeWorks lighting system. This provides simple,
reliable and flexible whole-home integration.
Up to 32 interfaces or keypads, each with a unique
address, can be assigned to each HomeWorks RF
Processor.
Important Notes
Codes: Install in accordance with all local and nation-
al electrical codes.
Power: Use only the adapter provided by Lutron with
your unit (Lutron model # T120-9DC-3-WH).
Caution - Using an adapter not rated at the
following specifications could damage the
RF CCI Interface and possibly overheat the
adapter.
• Input: 120/127 V
• Output: 9 V /300 mA Class 2
Contact Closure Compatibility: The input closures
are intended for use with devices that provide main-
tained or momentary outputs in the form of dry contact
closure or open collector outputs meeting the follow-
ing criteria:
• On saturation voltage: < 1.0 V
• Off leakage current: < 10.0 µA at 12 V
• Outputs must stay in the closed or open
state for at least 40 msec in order to be rec-
ognized by the interface
If there is any question as to whether the contact clo-
sure device is compatible with these specifications,
contact the manufacturer of that device.
Contact Closure Wiring:
Caution - DO NOT apply voltage between
any two terminals on the RF CCI Interface.
This will cause improper operation and could
damage the interface and the connected
equipment.

NOT use any chemical solutions. Do not paint the RF
CCI Interface.
RF Device Placement: RF CCI Interfaces must be
located within 30 feet (9m) of an RF Signal Repeater
or an RF Processor (see System Communication,
page 3).
