4. If flexing hose does not loosen blockage, then
locate upper hose adapter on the back of vacuum.
5. Remove nested wands from back of vacuum for
easy access to hose adapter clips. (See Figure 26)
6. Squeeze upper hose adapter side clips together
and remove entire hose from the vacuum.
7.
If clogged, clean out using a clothes hanger. Be
careful not to puncture the hose.

HOW TO CLEAR BLOCKAGES IN LOWER HOSE
1. Check for blockages in lower hose by dropping
a quarter through the lower hose retainer. If the
quarter does not drop through and exit through
brush roll opening on bottom, then lower hose is
clogged. (See Figure 27)
2. If clogged, clean out using a clothes hanger. Be
careful not to puncture the hose.

HOW TO CLEAR BLOCKAGES IN BRUSH ROLL AREA
1.
Remove hood from vacuum (See page 6, Figure 19
to remove hood) and check for a blockage in brush
roll area. Make sure the hose inlet is clear.
(See Figure 28)
2. After blockage is found and cleared, replace the
hood on the vacuum.

3. Reattach the upper hose adapter. Line up the upper
hose adapter tabs with the opening on the back of
the vacuum, and push the upper hose adapter until
the tabs lock into place. (See Figure 26)
4. Place lower hose nozzle back into the lower hose
retainer.
