ADDITIONAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
T-POST INSTALLATION - T-POST ALIGNMENT BLOCK WITH 4-SIDED FRAME
(A) Installing Alignment Blocks (See Figure 11.1)
• Prepare the bottom and top frames with the alignment blocks for the assembly process.
• Align and stack two T-Post alignment blocks with the pre-drilled holes in the bottom frame.
• Using two #6 x 1 1¾" screws, hand tighten the alignment blocks to the frame. Do not
completely tighten screws down, ensuring that they can still move slightly. This will allow
some side to side adjustment of the T-Post.
• Once the two T-Post alignment blocks are secured to the bottom frame, repeat the steps
for the top frame.
(B) Assemble Frame and T-Post (Read Step 4 for specific Frame Assembly Considerations
before beginning) (See Figure 11.2)
• Insert the corner keys into the top and bottom frames. Align the left side frame for
insertion into the bottom frame. Slide the bottom corner key into the side frame, and
lightly tap using a rubber mallet until an audible "pop" is heard, indicating the frames
have been successfully secured. Repeat the same process for the right hand
side frame.
• Attach T-Post to the bottom frame by sliding the T-Post over the alignment blocks on
the bottom frame. Once this has been completed, the top frame should be secured in
the same manner as the side frames, making sure the T-Posts are aligned with the
alignment blocks on the top frame.
(C) Mark Location of T-Posts
• Test the fit and position of the panels to determine the exact location of the
T-Post. Using a pencil, mark the location of each T-Post, ensuring that the
non-hinge side gaps between the panels and frames are consistently 1/8" .
(D) Secure T-Post (Figure 11.3)
• Open or remove the panels, and align the T-Post with the pencil marks,
setting a #8 x 2" installation screw horizontally through the pre-drilled hole
in the side of the T-Post at the bottom.
• The screw will pass between the (2) T-Post alignment blocks, locking the
T-Post into position.
• Repeat for the top of the T-Post and cap installation holes with button
covers.
• Once the T-Post has been successfully secured, return to Step 8 to complete
Shutter installation process.
